EIB Board - Parts and Software
Note: Please remember that this is additional information from my point of view - You really need to study Mike's work on his scrapbook to get the complete picture and understanding as to what is going on here.

Parts List - Each board that you will need ( each board will operate two motors ) require the following parts:
1- Capacitor - 22uf 63Volt - this part is also used on the magnevation controller board - look at picture on web site for type if your not sure.2 - 1.0 K ohm resistors rated at 1/4 watt
2 - 470 ohm resistors rated at 1/2 watt
4 - NPN transistors - Radio Shack part number - 276-1617 - this is a model 2N2222 transistor, use this number when shopping somewhere else
If you have not downloaded the software from ExpressPCB - you will need to - the Encoder-IO-Board.pcb drawing that Mike has provided is required so that you install the components correctly. You will also have to use this software to order the boards from them - it is very user friendly - their web site has a very good explanation on how everything works. You would also use this software to create your own boards need for your project.
If you are not familiar with soldering electronic components - now would be a good time to research this on the internet or your local library. It's not that difficult to learn and it's fun to do little projects now and then.
