Torso Progress Report
With some nice weather this weekend, I decided to get this area of the project started. I had previously stripped all the components off the torso, but hadn't gotten into the mood to work on the excess bondo - that is until this weekend. I even surprised myself in the fact that not only did I do a pretty good job. I started the a heavy duty cutting disk and then finishing with a sanding drum with my Dremel tool. The surprise is that I did all this without damaging the torso itself! If you have a Dremel tool, but have not purchased the flexible extension piece - I would highly recommend this - it worked great inside the torso. Here's the pictures.
Here's the outside with everything removed.
The inside before I started. The bondo filler at the top was there so that the neon back plate would fit correctly and the two bondo towers were for holding the chest button assembly in place at the right distance from the front of the torso.
This is what I created with the cutting disk - nice weather and working outside made this a lot easier.
The finished job at this point. I can now move on to building a correct neon back plate and set-up my new chest buttons for a proper fit.
Here are the test fit pictures of my new arms from Will Huff - As you can see, I have a great fit.

That's it for now.
